Recently I have been obsessed with making baby caps. I adore the way they turn out. This is a baby bear cap I tried out.
These are very simple to make.
- 8 ply Acrylic Yarn(Black,White, Cream and Brown)
- 4mm Crochet Hook
- Yarn Needle
Start by making a simple baby cap.I have already posted a tutorial for this.
You can check it here.
Take your cream yarn and start with a magic circle.
Work 12 double crochet(DC) in the circle.Slip stitch to the first DC to finish the round. Tug the loose thread to close the hole.
For the next round, start by 2 chain, then work 2 DC in each stitch.Slip Stitch to join. At end of this row you will have 24 stitches.
Next, start by 2 chain(this chain 2 will be counted as 1DC),2DC next stitch, 1 DC in the next stitch.2DC next stitch. Repeat 1DC, 2DC in all the stitches around.Slip Stitch to join. You will have 36 stitches at end of this round.
With the black yarn, stitch the nose and mouth on the MuzzleEyes:-
Start by magic circle and Work 12 double crochet(DC) in the circle.Slip stitch to the first DC to finish the round. Tug the loose thread to close the hole.
With White yarn, sew in the eye reflection points.
Start with magic circle.
Cast 10 Double Crochet in the magic circle.
Next,chain 2 and turn.
Start with 1 Double crochet in the same chain space,2 Double crochet in next stitch.
Repeat all around.
Do not join the ends, instead pull in the loose thread to form a semi circle.
Leave a long tail end to sew it on to the cap.
Make one more.
With the yarn needle sew the ears to the cap.
Accordingly , sew in the muzzle and the ears.
