Homemade Cold Porcelain Air Dry Clay

Materials Used:-
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 cup glue
  • 2 tablespoons Baby oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar
  • Moisturizer cream(for kneading)

I love working with clay. I've been buying clay from various sources.Have always wondered to make my own clay at home.So spent a ample amount of time finding the nitty gritties.
And there are many recipes available on internet for making homemade clay. Ive tried making many versions.Out of all, this recipe worked like a charm. Its a low cost and very simple ingredient recipe.Do give it a Try.

Use a good non stick pan for preparing your clay.
Measure out your ingredients.
Start by putting your corn starch in the pan.
 Pour in the Glue.
Whisk it properly so that there are no lumps.
Pour in the baby oil and Vinegar.

Mix well.

Put it on gas and stir well.
Dont worry if it forms clots. That's the way it cooks.
Once it forms into a whole lump and leaves the sides of your pan, take it off the gas.
For Kneading , spread a small amount of moisturizer on to your counter and hands.
I used Nivea.
Knead your clay to soften it.Be very careful, as your clay would be hot.
Knead it atleast for 10 to 15 mins.

This is how your clay would look.
Use a zip lock or Plastic wrap to store your clay.
The clay would be warm, so when you put in the wrap it would form moisture. Clean the moisture with a clean cloth. Keep cleaning the moisture till the clay is cool.

Your clay is ready to be worked on.
Happy crafting 😊😊!!!
